Who was Neil Armstrong?

Neil Armstrong was born on August 5th 1930. He was born in a farmhouse but moved more than 16 times before he was 13! Than the Armstrong’s finally settled in a little town inside the state of Ohio named Wapakoneta.Just 3 years before Neil Armstrong was born a person named Charles Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic Ocean nonstop and was the first person to make a transatlantic flight.

Things and design of the rocket:

In this chapter I am going to tell you what were the things and design of the rocket Neil Armstrong was in . There were many things and some designs of the rocket Neil Armstrong was in. Here are some!

The rocket was 363 feet tall and had three stages . It had F-1 engines at the bottom of the rocket and a launch escape system at the top. Also, it had three fuel tanks and three lox tanks

The rocket also has a service and a command module.

The destination plan:

In this chapter I will teach you about the plan to get the rocket to the moon. First of all the destination was the moon. There were 10 stages.

Stage 1:

lifting off from the planet.

Stage 2:

the first stage separation.

Stage 3:

second stage separation.

Stage 4:

separation from the lunar adapter.

Stage 5:

turning around and docking the earth.

Stage 6:

the command module and lunar module in final separation.

Stage 7:

mid course correction of the rocket.

Stage 8:

the lunar orbit.

Stage 9:

the command and lunar module separation .

Stage 10:

the lunar module touchdown.
